Vernon was retired from Byars Construction as a concrete finisher were he worked for 35 years.  Visitation will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 9:00a.m.-10:55a.m. at the Salter's Chapel A.M.E. Church 1016 Scott St. in Dyersburg. Funeral service will follow at 11:00a.m. with Rev. George Turks officiating. Burial will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery in Tigrett, TN.
