Mrs. Varetta Gail Moody Braden age 67 of Jackson, TN. formerly of Dyersburg died Friday, February 12, 2021 at Jackson -Madison Co. General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Varetta was a member of Marantha SDA in Jackson, TN., SDA Women's Ministry, Lower Division Sabbath School Superintendent. She was also a member Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Arrangements are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home. A Walk through visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 11:00a.m.-12:55p.m. Due to the current pandemic conditions and the family's concern for the health and welfare of others, a private funeral service will be held 1:00p.m. February 26, 2021 at McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg, TN. Officiating this service will be Rev. Curtis Hall and Rev. John Glaze. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN. serving as pallbearers will be Kristopher Moody, Charles Barr, Bradley Moody, Frazier Perry, Thaddeus Armstrong, Robert Werkheiser, Joseph Dobbins, Stacy Dugan. Survivors include her husband Jimmy Braden, Jackson, TN., Daughter, Samantha C. Graves, Nashville, TN., Son, Terrance Moody, Dyersburg, TN., Sisters, Joan (Samuel) Ansah, Nashville, TN., Sharon ( Tony) Harrell, Union City, TN., Yolanda ( Michael) Harris, Dyersburg, TN., Dorothy Waiters, Memphis, TN., Juanita Reynolds, Shirley Fitzpatrick, St. Louis, Mo., Alice Harris, Atlanta, Ga., Brothers, Aaron Moody, Dyersburg, TN., Jack Fitzpatrick, Ft. Wayne, Ind. (6) Grandchildren, (5) Great-Children. A host of nieces, Nephews, and adopted loved ones. Varetta was preceded in death by her parents, James Moody & Elizabeth Brown Moody, (4) sisters, Lorene Hatten, Emma Lois Hayes, Mary K. Moody, Sally Mitchell.
