Samuel Anderson Lee, Jr., age 87 of Chattanooga (Formerly) of Dyersburg, TN. passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. He was born to the late Samuel I. and Beatrice Anne Lee in Arps, TN. He was a graduated of Bruce High School in 1949, Tennessee State University with a degree Bachelor Science. He continued his studies at the Tuskegee University. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dyersburg where he served in the choir.
He served in the US Army and taught Science in the Chattanooga Hamilton County School System.
He is survived by one son, Samuel P. Lee; sister, Gloria D. Sharpe, Dyersburg, TN; brother, Charles F. Lee (Patricia K.), Memphis, TN; special nieces and nephews, Michelle Lee Harris, Deatra Somerville Lee, Charles "Chucky" Lee, Jr. of Memphis, TN and Johnny (Mirander) Young of Houston, Texas.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at First Baptist of East 8
th
Street, 11:00 AM with Rev. William T. Ladd officiating. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after 12 noon on Sunday.
