Minister Mattie Clara Arterbridge age 93 died Friday, January 14, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg, TN. Minister Mattie Arterbridge was the associate minister at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She served in various positions at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member for 69 years. On third Sunday in September 1948 Mattie united with Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastorate of the late Rev. J. H. Fenner. She was also a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor W.M. Hobson, the late Pastors W. L. McCadeny and Pastor John Walter Lewis. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2022, 5: p.m. 7: p.m. at McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg, TN. Funeral service will be held 12: Noon Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church 208 St. George Ave. Dyersburg, TN. with Minister Janet Morgan officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home. Survivors include her children; Paula Arterbridge Williams, Gwendolyn Arterbridge, Dyersburg, TN.  Burial will be held in Williams Chapel Cemetery in Friendship, TN. Serving as Pallbearers will be Mark Arterbridge, Bobby Crape, Darwin Gilmore, Ade Olyede, Terry Arterbridge, Cory Hilton, Terry Gray.
