James was born March 12, 1938, in Ridgely, TN. to late Eugene & Geraldine Johnson. Rooster was an Owner & Operator over the road trucker for over 50 years. He was married to the late Dorotha Parker Johnson to this union (3) children were born Charlotte Johnson " Meca" Dyersburg, TN. Cherylon Johnson, James Johnson Jr. of Los Angele,s, Ca. Devida Jones "Anthony" Chicago, IL., Regina Terry, Chicago, IL., Janelle Rathbun (Greg) of Nashville, TN.  Rooster was preceded in death by his parents, Son, Terry Light, Sister, Avis Locust, Robbie Smith, Brother, Paul Johnson, Twin Grand Daughters, Dorotha & Duran Johnson , Grandson James Steven Moody Harrell. He also leaves a special companion Geraldine Patton of Las Vegas, Nevada.,a Host of Grandchildren and GreatGrandchildren.,Nephews and Neices.
