Mr. James "JE" Hegar age 82 of Kansas City, MO. Formerly of Crockett County, TN. died Monday, March 18,2019 at St. Luke's Hospital-Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Arrangement are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg, TN. James was born October 7,1936 in Crockett Mills, TN. to JB and Lillie Mae Hegar. After a long career as truck driver for Yellow Trucking Co., he retired in 2002 with over 20 years of service. James enjoyed fishing, driving across the country, boating and a good game of dominos. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 6,2019 10:00a.m. 10:55a.m. at McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg, TN. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Carl Hicks Jr. Officiating. Burial will be held in Williams Chapel Cemetery in Friendship, TN. Survivors include; his mother; Lillie Mae Hegar- Claybrooks, Dyersburg, Children; Yvonne Hegar, Charlotte, NC., Sons; Michael Hegar, Lone Tree, Colorado, Cilfford (Eileen) Bowen, Racine, WI., Terry Hegar, Benton Harbor, MI., Darrel (Kathy) Hegar, Cary, NC., Vincent(Kimberly) Hegar, Grand Rapid, MI., Sister; Vella Denny, Dyersburg, TN. Grandchildren; Cedellia Bowen-Fleming, Yolanda(Lamar) Weddle, Karen Golden, Monica Wright, Valerie(Rodney) McLain and Carol Tatum; Nephews; Jon Augustus and Keith Claybrooks and close family friend DeNesse and Brandon Lee. James was preceded in death by his father, son James David Cummings and a brother; Willie C. Claybrooks.
