Mr. Charles " Charlie" McCreight age 85 of Los Angeles, California died Friday, June 19, 2026, at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, Ca. Arrangements are entrusted with McCreight Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg, TN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, 11:00a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church 208 St. George Ave. Dyersburg, TN. Pastor Stanley Montgomery will be officiating this service and assisted by Pastor David E. Holly, Sr. Charlie attended Bruce High School and later moved to Los Angeles, California where he had his own construction company by installing fencing. He later retired to and began his love as being a taxi driver in Los Angeles. He loved his family and spending time with them. He loved to entertain family and friends. He loved to Bar queue and cook out with his family. Charlie never met a stranger, and he was certainly loved by family and friends. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN. serving as pallbearers; will be Rickey King, J.C. Jones, William Cortez McElrath, Michael Parr, Marty Parr, Johnny King. Survivors include his sister, Susan McCreight, of Los Angeles, Ca. Brother, James Arthur (Pam) McCreight of Los Angeles, Ca. his nieces, Nephews, cousins, uncles. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Louvina Davis McCreight, Grandparents, Charlie McCreight & Amanda Foster McCreight, siblings Erskin McCreight, David Lee McCreight, Robert Earl McCreight, Charles Franklin McCreight.
