Ms. Carrie E. Jones age 94 of Dyersburg died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg. Carrie E. Jones age 94 of Dyersburg died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.Visitation will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 6-8pm at McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at McCreight Funeral Home 1:00p.m. with Rev. Al Seward officiating. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN. Pallbearers: Grady Powell, Fred Jones Jr. ,Jeffery Mitchell, Joe Mitchell, Jerry Jones and Stacy Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers: Nephews. Mrs.Carrie Mays Jones was born September 13, 1921 to the parents of Mr. Wash and Mrs. Willie Mays. She was the oldest of seven children. Carrie had one child prior to meeting and marrying her beloved husband Mr. Luther Jones. After this union, three children were born.Carrie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with New Bethel Baptist Church after marrying Mr. Luther Jones. She then became a member of Beech Grove Presbyterian Church to be with her husband. She was a loyal and devoted member and worked diligently until her failing health prevented her from continuing to serve.Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Wash and Mrs. Willie Mays; her devoted husband, Luther Jones; three children, Evelyn Jones, Luther Jones Jr., and Lewis Tipton.Carrie leaves to cherish all the love and memories of her life with her loving son, Willie Frank Jones; two granddaughters, Karen and Elizabeth Jones; and grandsons, Willie Frank Jr., Fredrick Maurice, Tony Tipton, Leroy Tipton, Vincent Tipton, and Bobby Tipton, a very special niece and nurse, Mary Coleman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

God Took Her To His Loving Home
God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered 'Come with me.' She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain.
